This is something that over the last couple weeks I have noticed that I get now and again especially when I am standing for long or sitting for long. Yesterday for instance a 3 1/2 hour trip in the car + 4 hours sitting at dinner in an uncomfortable chair = cankles!
The only real cure for this is to sit with feet up - it's tough but I guess I can do it

It's almost over and then you'll have your ankles back for good!
My sis-in-law had TERRIBLE edema the last few weeks of her pregnancy. She found the only solution was loooong foot and leg massages from her husband. ;)
