marriages aren't made for heaven!

Yet again Sam in the City has some things to say on relationships and marriage. This makes me sad, I can hardly believe this is what some people think, but why am I surprised?

It's everywhere, all around us.

Marriages aren't made for heaven!

I believe that here on earth God has given us the gift of marriage and when we get married, it isn't just "for as long as we continue to love each other", "for as long as our love shall last" or "until our time together is over". Grrrr.

I do understand that some marriages can be complicated and that sometimes things happen which are out of your control, but God does intend it to be 'til death do us part'. It isn't just for Christmas it is for life, or at least until Jesus returns. Marriage isn't always a walk in the park, it is hard work (with my many months (10 mths) experience) I should know. It's not only God who tells us what is best when it comes to marriage, statistics have also proven that people who are married are more likely to stay together than those in a defacto relationship.

Marriage is a gift from God, not to be entered into lightly, it is for life. It's hard at times but an absolute joy at times too.

Thanks Alison.

How are you?

Not too bad, pretty tired with commuting to the city to work, but other than that, enjoying life :)

Glad all the blogging has picked up again for the year, I had nothing to read over Christmas/Jan!!

Yeah I know, people seem back in the blog world again, it took a while but it is fun to be at it again. I haven't been reading as much as I have been busier this year at work - which it good and life in general is busy too. Good to know you are doing well other than the tiredness.

I see you went to watch the Queen, how was it.

Did I miss something, are you still up North? Were you just down here for a holiday?

That Belgian Shepherd dog is adorable...

I'm living up at Wyoming, near Gosford, but still come down to Sydney for work and the odd family event.

I enjoyed watching The Queen, it was very well made and an interesting look at what it would be like to be part of the royal family. I didn't really get sucked into the story, so not hugely emotional movie for me, but it is worth seeing.

And we love our doggies - they are very cute and make us laugh. Although they are hard work...

Where are you working these days?

I am still working in the city, so do you come to the city everyday?

4 days a week at the moment, although I'm looking for a job closer to home so not sure how long I'll be here for!

Want to catch up for lunch one day? I'm at the circ quay end of town.

Sounds good to me. What's your email address and I will email you to organise a place and time. If you put it in the comments I will delete it after I have written it down ;)

How cunning!
