please pray
I have totally been meaning to write for so long but I have been a busy lil Mamma! And now I am almost off to England!! The good news is we managed to get upgraded to Business class for our Sydney to Dubai flight (16 hours!!!!), so that should make it more comfortable with 'A'. SP also got upgraded for the same flight when he comes in 2 and a bit weeks!! All thanks to Mum and Jules' air miles!!
I leave in just over 4 hours and I am feeling a little nervous so thought I would ask you to pray specifically about these few things:
* That 'A's ears would be ok on take off and landing!!!
* That he would be settled on the plane.
* That we would arrive safely.
* That I would be relaxed and not anxious!
* I am starting to get emotional about having to leave SP - please pray that the time might go quickly and we might not to be too sad!
* That 'A' would stay healthy (no swine flu please!), that he might get some good sleeps and that it might be a smooth ride. Turbulence means you have to get the babies out of the bassinet ;(
* Pray for SP also, as he will miss us and we will miss him for just over 2 weeks until he flies out to meet us. Pray also for a safe flight for him.
* Please please please also pray for the adjustment for when we get the other end with 'A', his sleep and the time difference.
I will be in touch hopefully once I get to England!!! Which will be Tuesday night Aussie time and lunchtime UK time!
Adios - hopefully I will write more soon!

come on england

I was pleasantly surprised at how well England played and that they seemed to really rattle the Australian's with their game plan..
I guess what was an even bigger shock this weekend was New Zealand losing to France, another big surprise..
Anyway, I will say no more here ;) But I am very excited to see the England v France semi final on the weekend, we beat them in 2003, we could beat them again if we keep improving as we have...
Come on England!

mr and mrs hay

I was trying to figure out how the Live Feed worked but couldn't, Gabe was on Skype I asked him if he could help and he did - so SP and I got to sit and watch our beautiful friend Caroline get married to her beloved Jeffrey.
It was so cool, us in Australia watching the church in London (pretty good seats I might add), waiting for the bridesmaids and Caroline to enter. I got to see a whole bunch of my friends enter the church as the camera looked down from the balcony - all of which I sent messages to to tell them I could see them ;)
The the moment arrived, the four bridesmaids entered and then Caroline, Jeff looked excited but nervous, they zoomed in - yay. I got to listen to the hymns, sing the hymns (not too loudly though - my neighbours were probably in bed), got to hear and watch them say there vows, exchange rings and be pronounced man and wife and of course the much anticipated 'kiss'..
Then we heard the sermon by an Irish man - he was good, I also cleaned my teeth during this part - hey they couldn't see me, probably a good job as by this point I was in my PJs ;) Then the signing of the registry and the recessional (Some Where Over the Rainbow). That was it, or at least that was it for me. I went to bed and they went on to celebrate.
It was a mixture of emotions - I was so thankful that I could watch but so sad that I couldn't be there. I woke up early knowing that all my friends would be there enjoying this special day and I longed to be there. BUT at least I got to watch the whole thing LIVE - can you believe it?!?! That just blows my mind! Thanks Matt S for sending this pic of the couple.
Congratulations Jeff and Caroline, I love you and can't wait to see you soon.

meet legs
"Hi Nix and S, my name is 'Legs' and I need looking after. I have been traumatised by the journey and need a lot of love and attention".
This was sent to me by my lovely Aunt in England who just lost her Mum (Mrs S), this handsome teddy bear belonged to Mrs S and Mary-Ann told me she thought her Mum would have wanted me to have it. It's come a long way and I love it, particularly because it belonged to Mrs S. I am going to keep it and give it to our kids - if and when we can have them. I will be able to tell them all about where it came from and who it belonged too.
Thanks Mary-Ann. Legs is welcome to the family and will be very much looked after.

leaving on a jet plane
Tomorrow is the sad day we have to say our good-byes to family and England and fly back to Sydney. My parents are coming in the morning, we will spend the day with them and then they will take us to the airport in the evening. Please pray for us as we say good-bye and for our long flight home.
I will write more when I am back in Sydney, your prayers would be much appreciated :-)

I hate good-byes
It has been a while since I have been in the blog world, I have scanned a few blogs since I have been here but not really got to sit down and write as we have been having a busy busy time here in England. We just today said sad good-byes to my Dad and my little sisters in Worcester and we are now back in London, once again staying with my old house mate and her hubby in my old house. I hate saying good-byes it breaks my heart, I think it is especially hard this time as we have yet to set some dates for when we are next going to see each other - that makes it harder. We can't just say "see you in December" as we haven't organised a time yet. I think we will try and do that in the next few months so we have the next trip to look forward too. Needless to say there have been many tears shed last night saying good-bye to my Nan and Gan-Gan and today saying bye to Dad and the girls. My Mum and Jules are coming to London on Saturday to take us to the airport and see us off, which will be nice :)
We spent some good time with family in Worcester over Christmas and New Year - it was good to catch up and hang out with all my family. We took SP to the Malvern Hills (but it rained), out around Worcester, to the beautiful Cotswold's and out to some traditional pubs to sample local ales..
Back in London we plan to do a few things before we leave. Today we met up with an old friend who has been living in Bosnia for 2 years, we had Lebanese food and then went to Starbucks for old times sake. It was so good to see Kendra and hang out with her in London. We just arrived back in Wimbledon and I am currently looking for some tickets to go and watch Les Miserables in the West End tomorrow (actually I am currently blogging and looking at tickets at the same time). I regretted not seeing Les Mis when I used to live here and when I came back last year, so my lovely hubby said we can go, if we can find reasonable tickets of course. We plan on going around London to get some pictures - SP wants to take some with his fancy camera so we can get some blown up and put them on the walls.
Anyhoo, I do have photos but I have been bad about downloading them from the camera to the computer - but maybe after dinner I will get to post some pics. My wonderful hubby is cooking dinner for us so must away, I am sure I have so much more to tell you sowill keep thinking and writing it as it comes to me.
Hope you all had an awesome New Year.

the story so far....
Well finally here it is, a bit of an update and news on life in England.
We took off from Sydney on Friday morning, we flew on Korean airlines (please don't fly with them, you don't even get your own little video screen - on a 23 hour flight - YOU NEED ONE!). We didn't get to see a lot of Seoul as we arrived in time for dinner and then left just after breakfast. The only good thing about Korean airlines is that they put us up at the Hyatt, they fed us lovely grub in the evening and a great brekkie - Yum! We arrived Saturday night very tired indeed and VERY cold - it is absolutely freezing here, we stayed in Wimbledon at our lovely friend's house - Jen and Matt's until Tuesday. I got to catch up with friends, have coffee with Jen, go to my old church and see some old work colleagues - it was fun and I really enjoyed it. We head back to London for another four days at the beginning of Jan.

Now we are in Worcester at my Mum's house, the jet lag has hit us at various times but the last couple of days we have been pretty tired, I think we are now starting to feel a bit more human again ;) I have seen the cheeky chicas a few times - they are growing up so fast, still cheeky but very cute.
We put the Christmas tree up yesterday, my Mum was waiting for us to get back to put up the tree - it was fun to do... Tonight we are off to a castle for a slap up dinner - dinner jackets and dresses are the attire. Thank goodness my Mum has a frock for me to wear as I forgot mine!!! It is too cold to wear a dress but I might look a bit out of place in a pair of jeans and a jumper, although that is what I would prefer to wear.
Today I got to see my Nan, Gan-Gan (yes this is what I call my grandad, my aunt and my little cousin - I got to show them the wedding photo's which was great. Anyhoo, here is just a little about our trip so far - we are just planning to relax over the next few days before Christmas..
It is starting to feel Christmasy now which is very exciting. I am having fun - I did have tears in London as I do miss it here - I thought the tears would come at the end but they started early. This being so, I still know God is in control and he knows what is best for me, I pray I might want to be where he can best use me :)
I must away, cinderella has to go to a castle - how very fancy...

Hello from London
Just thought I would take a few minutes to say - I am here safe and sound in London. We arrived Saturday evening and have many stories to tell (which I will tomorrow when I arrive at my folks).
Anyhoo, all is well here in London town, we get a train tonight to my Mum's place and from there I should be able to sit down to tell all about our night in Seoul and our lovely few days in London.
It is a mixture of excited and sad to be back, I miss home terribly and miss my friends here - London is fun. The tube is like herding sheep around, packed and squashed - needless to say I don't miss that! But it is the busiest time of year to be here so I guess that explains it.
Anyhoo, we are off into Wimbledon now to shop and have a pub lunch - I will write more soon and post pictures soon.
Adios for now :)

3 more sleeps.....
...until we leave to go to England. I am so excited and can't believe that it is almost here, I don't think it will really feel like we are going away until we are packed and on our way to the airport!
As far as this week looks like:
Tonight: drinks with D after work, home to pack and organise ourselves.
Wednesday: work and a Christmas work lunch with colleagues, go home and more organising of ourselves before we fly. Packing might be a good idea too.
Thursday: last day of work (woo hoot), lunch with AC and then hopefully I will get an 'early mark' so I can go finish packing - or start packing if I haven't already. I also need to go to the Mall to pick up a few things.
Friday: at stupid o'clock go to the airport.
The end! - the rest is holidays.....and I can't wait!

11 more sleeps......

.....until we leave down-under to fly to good ole jolly England. I can't wait, even though I have been thinking about it for a long time it hasn't really hit me yet, that I am actually going home.
I am very excited to see friends and family, have a traditional Christmas which I grew up on and just relax and introduce my hubby to all of my friends and family he hasn't yet met.
It will be awesome.
* The picture is of my home town.
