serious flooding in england
My Mum called to tell me about the terrible flooding in Worcestershire (where I am from), she took some pictures of it when she was 'wading' home. Their house is OK thankfully but there are many homes that have been damaged by the floods. Click here and here to read more!

Not good at all. Good to hear that your parents are ok. I had to stay an extra night in Oxford because I couldn't get a train out of here. Fortunately a colleague from here is going to the same conference in Lancaster, so I'm getting a lift there with him today.
That's good that you have a ride, I imagine some of the public transport is down!
